Yanjian Group Wins the Bid of China-Aided Lighting Project in Vientiane Laos

On June 11, 2020, Yanjian Group received the notice of winning the bid for the China-Aided lighting project in the central urban area of Vientiane, the capital of Laos, sent by Agency for Economic Cooperation of Ministry of Commerce of the People`s Republic of China. 

 

The project is located in the center of Vientiane, the capital of Laos, and the benefits of the project will radiate more than 30 villages in the surrounding area. The project scope includes the upgrade and reconstruction of the fountain lighting, acoustic facilities, and watering system of the Triumphal Arch Square, lighting of 7 roads in Vientiane downtown, and lighting projects covering more than 30 villages near the downtown. The bid price is RMB 78.87 million Yuan, and the contracting mode is Engineering-procurement-construction (EPC), with a construction period of 8 months. The Ministry of Commerce of China requested the construction should be started as soon as possible to ensure that the renovation of the fountain, lights, acoustic, and watering system of the Triumphal Arch Square and the lighting renovation of the 7 roads in the downtown area of Vientiane will be completed by November 20, 2020 in order to celebrate the 45th anniversary of Laos National Day on December 2. Other works shall be completed within the time specified in the contract.

 

This project is the second China-aided construction project undertaken by Yanjian Group in Laos after the China-aided banquet hall project of the Laos National Convention Center. It is also the first China-aided construction project won by Yanjian since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
